The turbo timer is designed to keep a turbo engine running for a pre-designated period of time in order to properly allow for engine and turbocharger cool down in an effort to prevent premature turbo destruction. A turbo timer can be installed on naturally aspirated cars that have been converted to turbo and also factory turbocharged vehicles.
